Shake It Up: #GrowYourCity

Meeting the three sisters running Hartford Prints! was love at first sight. They are fun, funny, passionate about the city they grew up, live, and work in, and are just about the coolest entrepreneurs out there. Not only are their letterpress designs classy and classic, they continuously bring creative event programming to Hartford that we are happy to be a part of.

Last weekend, they hosted the first Farm to Street Dinner on Pratt Street in downtown Hartford. More than 150 people gathered to experience local fare from On20, wine from T. Edwards, beer from Back East Brewing, and of course, #OnyxMoonshine cocktails. It may have rained, but it was a beautiful evening none the less. A HUGE thank you and shout out to Emily Cahill of Yelp Connecticut for helping us out with this event!

Our cocktails for the evening were Strawberry Fields: strawberry infused Onyx Moonshine mixed with lemonade and Rhubarb Stash: our #SecretStash Reserve Whiskey mixed with grapefruit juice, rhubarb bitters, and local honey simple syrup served in a freshly minted glass.

Rhubarb Stash

1 oz Secret Stash Reserve Whiskey

2 oz Grapefruit Juice

½ oz Honey Simple Syrup

Dash of Rhubarb Bitters

Take fresh mint leaves and give them a few quick pats to release the natural oils. Rub them around the edge of a couple glass.

Combine all ingredients over ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into your freshly minted glass. Float mint leaves on top.
